Paddle to Lummi Community Connections Committee Make a Donation From July 30 to August 4, the Lummi Nation will provide food and shelter for as many as 13,000 guests each of the five days of the Canoe Journey celebration. These guests are not only the canoe journey families, but tourists and Whatcom County residents who are graciously invited to join in this landmark event. The budget for Paddle to Lummi exceeds $1 million dollars. Your contributions will help to defray some of these costs., much of which will need to be drawn from other Lummi programs, unless we can help. The Canoe Journey offers an opportunity for non-native residents to honor and support the first inhabitants of this beautiful region. The Paddle to Lummi Community Connections Committee is collecting funds to assist the Lummi Nation in this mammoth effort. Our goal is to raise $300,000 to help support this event. Download information letter from Evelyn D. Jefferson, Lummi Nation. Business sponsorships will be recognized by publicity at the event itself and in the event program. There are opportunities to sponsor a particular meal or activity. Details of sponsorship opportunities, levels and benefits are described below [or give link to another page].
